Our Story
In the early 1900s, our village of Asklipios was a farming community, where people lived off the land. Our great-grandfather, a visionary man, saw a different path – one by the sea . In 1924, he and his brother picked the most stunning spot on the beach and built this restaurant, the first in Kiotari. They dedicated their lives to serving coffee, ouzo, and the day’s fresh catch from the local fishermen. Today, over 100 years and four generations later, we continue to share the same love and passion for our restaurant.
As the pioneers of this beautiful beach, we feel a great responsibility to please our customers and to make them feel at home. We are not trying to impress you with complex recipes, but with the simplicity and freshness of the natural flavors of our region – such as the olive oil we produce ourselves, fresh herbs gathered from our mountains, vegetables that are grown locally, fresh meat and fresh fish that are prepared on our wood-burning grill.
At Stefano Fish Restaurant, tradition and hospitality blend seamlessly on Kiotari Beach. Our roots go back to 1924 when our great-grandfather built Kiotari’s first establishment. Ever since, we’ve been serving fresh, authentic dishes inspired by our beloved sea. From daily catches to garden-fresh produce, every dish reflects our passion for heritage and good food.

As a traditional seafood restaurant in Rhodes, we believe quality starts with the source. Every day, local fishermen deliver fresh fish and seafood directly to us. Guests are invited to select their preferred catch, which we prepare simply — grilled over charcoal, drizzled with our own olive oil, and finished with fresh herbs from the mountains of Rhodes.
